The Blood of Dawnwalker Map and Vale Sangora Guide

Aktualisiert 6 Min. Lesezeit

Dieser Guide stützt sich auf offizielle Informationen von Rebel Wolves und Bandai Namco zu The Blood of Dawnwalker (erschienen am 3. September 2026). Als unbestätigt markierte Abschnitte spiegeln Details wider, die noch nicht offiziell verifiziert sind.

The Blood of Dawnwalker's map is Vale Sangora: a hand-crafted open world set in the heart of the Carpathians, built from swamps, mountains, forests, plains, caves, ruins and medieval settlements, rendered in Unreal Engine 5. It contains one true city, Svartrau. The full map is visible from the start of the game — but its activities must be discovered. This guide covers every confirmed region rule, biome, city, difficulty system and point of interest type, all drawn from official sources before the September 3, 2026 launch. Exact dimensions and the complete region list are TBC — not officially confirmed yet.

The Regions and Biomes of Vale Sangora

The official gameplay deep dive describes Vale Sangora as the heart of the game's narrative sandbox. The confirmed biome list reads like a dark fantasy checklist: swamps, forests, mountains, caves and meadows from the livestream recap, alongside the lush forests, vast plains, treacherous swamps and steep mountaintops named on the official site. Human settlements — the city, the villages, ancient crypts and ruins — thread through all of it. Scattered across the valley are forgotten ruins holding remnants of an ancient civilization, and truths that should probably remain hidden.

The valley is divided into regions, each ruled by one of the veteran vampires from Brencis's inner circle, each responsible for their own zone. The rule of thumb for danger is simple: the further south you go, the harder the challenge. Human settlements range from villages with shops and merchants to the single true city.

Svartrau: The Only True City

Svartrau is the region's largest city — and officially the only true city in Vale Sangora. Villages have shops and merchants, but Svartrau holds the widest variety of specialized merchants in the valley.

The city changes completely between day and night. By day, bustling medieval life masks the influence of the vampire regime. After dark, moonlit rooftops reveal hidden secrets, and residents react to your choices and behavior. The official showcase followed Coen through Silberkreis, the richest district, which sits close to Greifberg castle — Brencis's home and the seat of his power. Vampires are not the only non-humans here either: each type of intelligent humanoid has its own niche in the city's ecosystem.

The deep dive's showcase quest was set in Svartrau for a reason: Coen hunted clues to a legendary sword that might be hidden in the crypts beneath the city. The trail led to its splendid cathedral — richly ornamented with art, stained glass and sumptuous tapestries — where a clue hides among the ceiling's frescos, deliberately obscured on Brencis's orders. Reaching those high scaffolds is impossible by day. One location, two completely different routes, depending on the hour: that is the clearest picture yet of how the map's day and night layers stack.

Region Difficulty: Set on Your First Visit

Each zone has a minimum and maximum difficulty level based on your character level when you first enter. Once set, a region's difficulty does not change for the rest of the game. That makes route planning a real decision: walk into the deep south early and you will be outmatched; arrive later and the zone still stays relevant.

The lock cuts both ways. Enter a region early and its difficulty range is fixed around a weaker Coen — softer resistance for the rest of the game. Enter it late and it will keep testing you until the final day. Because the range is set on first entry and never changes, the map becomes a puzzle of sequencing rather than a checklist.

The system feeds the game's freedom. The official showcase demonstrated a boss — Xanthe, the oldest vampire in the valley — who can be beaten at the very start of the game by a determined player, or left for a later, stronger visit. Where you go first on the map is itself a difficulty choice.

How Map Discovery Works

The whole map is visible from the beginning, but important activities are not. Entering a new region reveals activity indicators without details — you can see that something is happening, but not what, until you investigate through clues, information from locals, or traveling there yourself. Some points of interest are easy to find; others demand careful exploration.

That slow-burn discovery is deliberate. The valley is meant to be read through conversations, clues and footsteps rather than icons swept up in a single pass. For a 30-day run, it also means the map rewards returning to old ground with new abilities: what a human Coen cannot reach by day, a vampire Coen can after dark.

Confirmed point-of-interest types include:

  • Shrines
  • Military and bandit camps
  • Monster nests
  • Haunted places
  • Hidden treasures

The achievement list confirms the exploration milestones: climb all the towers to scout the surrounding areas (Bird's-Eye View), visit the City of Svartrau (Big-City Living), visit every village in Vale Sangora (Tour Guide Training), tear down all of Brencis's flags (Capture the Flag), and destroy vrakhiri transports (Delivery Delay).

Traversal and Fast Travel

Coen has a wide range of movement options — but no horse. The developers confirmed it outright: he has a wide array of traversal options, including vampiric traversal abilities at night, but he does not have a horse. Distance in Vale Sangora is meant to be felt on foot and rooftop alike, and fast travel through the world map is the sanctioned shortcut when you would rather spend your evening elsewhere.

At night, vampiric movement takes over: Shadowstep for rooftops, climbing for sheer walls, with an achievement rewarding 1,000 metres traveled on vampiric abilities alone.

Daytime exploration is untimed. Time only advances when you complete specific objectives, so you can roam the valley at your own pace — the developers even note that a burning building will keep smoldering in real time while you investigate, because the in-world clock has not moved. Keep an eye out for places with a deeper connection to magic than others: strange mists, distortions in the air, and unusual insects or creatures are your hints.

What Is Still TBC About the Map

Everything above is confirmed but deliberately incomplete — a snapshot assembled from official showcases, announcements and the press site. Exact map size, the full list of region names, and how the denarii-based economy works across merchants are TBC — not officially confirmed yet. Two achievements already confirm the currency: Smuggler rewards earning 1,000 denarii selling silver, and Miser rewards accumulating 5,000. Physical editions ship with a printed 33 x 40 cm world map for planning at your desk.
