Dawnwalker Collectibles: All 11 Tower Locations
This guide draws on official information from Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco for The Blood of Dawnwalker (released September 3, 2026). Sections marked as unconfirmed reflect details that are not yet officially verified.
The most important fact about the 11 scouting towers in The Blood of Dawnwalker is a mechanical one: climbing them does not consume a time segment. In a game built on a 30-day deadline where nearly every meaningful action costs clock, towers are the one free information-gathering move you get. That makes them the first thing to clear after the prologue, not the last. Most players save towers for whenever they happen to walk past one, and spend the rest of the run searching blind.
Towers Are Free, So Do Them First
Vale Sangora charges you for progress. Quests, travel, and story beats eat into your 30 days, which is why our time limit explained page treats every segment as a budgeting decision. Towers sit outside that economy.
Since they cost nothing but real-world minutes, the correct play is to bank all of them in one dedicated push early. A revealed map converts blind sweeping into directed routing for the entire rest of the run — every camp, shrine, and quest hub you later need is already visible. Do it late and you paid full price for exploration you could have had for free.
Towers and Skill Manuals Are the Same System
The second thing worth internalising: collectibles in this game are not completionist busywork, they are your main strength pipeline.
Each of the eight towers outside Svartrau hands you a manual or an accessory at the top. And separately, all 13 Ancient Circles each grant a skill manual. Since manuals — not skill points — are what actually unlock and upgrade abilities, sweeping collectibles is building your character. Our skill manuals guide lists which ability each book teaches, so read the two routes as one trip.
All 11 Scouting Tower Locations
| Tower | Region / landmark | Rooftop reward |
|---|---|---|
| Church Tower | Laslea Glen, the prologue church | Aether Flow Manual |
| Briar Sloughs Tower | South of Laslea Glen, near the river | Amalgam Manual |
| Maragir Wealds Tower | Eastern edge of the Maragir Wealds | Blasphemous Echo Manual |
| Boar's Back Tower | Shrike's Crag, west of Svartrau | Potent Blood Manual; Duelist's Pendant |
| Neustadt Tower | Southwestern city wall of Svartrau | No rooftop chest |
| Market Tower | North-central Svartrau | No rooftop chest |
| Cathedral Tower | Svartrau's cathedral district | No rooftop chest |
| St. Tyna's Grove Tower | Near Ambrus's outpost and an Ancient Circle | Forbidden Sigils Manual |
| Tantari Tower | Northwestern Tantari Woods | Lasting Medication Manual |
| Rockfalls Tower | South of Oghasti, west of Lunar Manor | Blasphemous Echo Manual |
| Silts Tower | The Silts (also called Aurelius Tower) | Unnatural Resilience Manual |
The three Svartrau towers — Neustadt, Market, and Cathedral — can be knocked out in a single city trip, and none of them has a rooftop chest. The eight outside the city all do, so search the roof before you descend.
How to Climb a Tower Properly
Towers are night content. You need vampire traversal to get up them, which means the climb itself is gated by the day/night cycle covered in our day vs night guide.
- Go at night. Human-form Coen cannot make the ascent.
- Use
Shadowstepto gain height andPlaneshiftto move along walls. Those two carry the whole climb. Shapeshiftis optional but speeds up the travel between towers considerably.- Climb past the last interior floor. The real observation point is above it, not on it.
- Loot the rooftop before you come down. Backtracking a tower for a chest you skipped is pure wasted travel.
Reaching the roof is not completing the tower
Standing on the roof does nothing on its own. You must activate scouting and rotate the camera through every white marker, confirming the investigate prompt on each one individually. The map should fill in with question marks afterward. If your map is still blank, that tower was not fully scouted — go back up and clear the remaining markers. This is where most players wrongly assume they are done.
A Route That Wastes the Least Travel
This ordering is travel optimisation, not an unlock sequence — nothing here is gated behind anything else.
- Straight after the prologue, take Church Tower and Briar Sloughs Tower.
- Head east to Maragir Wealds Tower.
- Clear Boar's Back Tower and then all three Svartrau towers in one pass.
- Drop south for St. Tyna's Grove Tower.
- Continue to Tantari Tower, then Rockfalls Tower.
- Finish at Silts Tower.
Because none of it costs a time segment, you can run the entire chain across one long night, or slice it into whatever nights your quest schedule leaves free. Either way the cost to your 30 days is zero.
The 14 Collectible Categories
Confirmed counts, cross-checked against our map page:
| Collectible | Count |
|---|---|
| Scouting towers | 11 |
| Brencis banners | 5 |
| Villages | 8 |
| Vrakhiri transports | 10 |
| Shrines | 111 |
| Ancient Circles | 13 |
| Bandit camps | 15 |
| Haunted sites | 4 |
| Monster nests | 32 |
There are 14 categories in total, and the remaining ones have not had their counts individually verified. Exact totals for those: TBC — not officially confirmed yet. We would rather leave a gap than invent a number you plan a run around.
Which Collectibles Carry Trophies
Only some categories are tied to achievements, which matters if you are chasing completion rather than power. Our trophies and achievements page has the full list; the collectible-linked ones are:
| Trophy | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Bird's-Eye View | Scout all 11 towers |
| Capture the Flag | All 5 Brencis banners |
| Tour Guide Training | All 8 villages |
| Big-City Living | Visit Svartrau |
| Delivery Delay | Destroy vrakhiri transports |
Two money trophies also come along for free while you loot: Smuggler (earn 1,000 denarii selling silver) and Miser (accumulate 5,000 denarii). Neither needs a dedicated run — sell what towers and camps hand you and both arrive on their own.
Ancient Circles Are Daytime Only
Ancient Circles invert the tower rule. Towers demand night; the 13 Ancient Circles are daytime-only, and each one grants a skill manual.
Practically, that gives you a clean two-shift schedule. Towers at night, circles by day, and both feeding the same manual collection. It also means "collectibles" is not one activity you can batch into a single session — it is two, split by the clock. The St. Tyna's Grove Tower sits near an Ancient Circle, so that corner of the map is worth a full day-night cycle on its own.
Collectibles FAQ
Do towers really cost no time? Correct — the climb and the scout are both free. Only time-flagged actions advance the clock.
Can I climb towers during the day? No. The ascent depends on vampire traversal, which means night.
Is there a fast-travel benefit? Scouting reveals map coverage and question marks; whether towers themselves act as travel points is TBC — not officially confirmed yet.
What if my map stayed blank? You reached the roof without completing the scout. Return and confirm every white marker.
The Blood of Dawnwalker launched September 3, 2026 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. If you are early in a run, get the towers done before anything else — everything downstream gets cheaper. Then use skill manuals to turn all those rooftop books into an actual build.
