The Blood of Dawnwalker Map and Vale Sangora Guide
This guide draws on official information from Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco for The Blood of Dawnwalker (released September 3, 2026). Sections marked as unconfirmed reflect details that are not yet officially verified.
Vale Sangora is a compact, dense open world rather than a continent-sized checklist. The retail map has 10 named regions and 11 scouting towers. Your useful navigation loop is simple: enter a region, climb its tower at night, inspect every scouting point from the top, unlock nearby Shrines, then investigate the question marks that fit your route.
The whole world can be crossed without spending quest time. Exploration, tower scouting and travel do not advance the 30-day clock; committed objectives and selected actions do. That makes map setup one of the best early investments in a run.
All 10 Regions
A post-launch map guide lists these ten major areas:
- Laslea Glen
- Briar Sloughs
- Maragir Wealds
- Boar's Back
- Svartrau Outskirts
- Svartrau City
- Rockfalls
- St. Tyna's Grove
- The Silts
- Tantari Woods
The source prints “The Slits,” but the in-game region name and launch guides use The Silts. These are map regions, not a promise that every quest or secret appears as soon as the region is revealed.
One launch guide estimates the explorable area at roughly 10 km², about 4 km north-to-south and 3 km east-to-west at its widest points. Treat those dimensions as a guide estimate, not an official measurement. The useful fact is the density: villages, wilderness, quests, Shrines and activity sites sit close enough that route order matters more than raw distance.
How to Reveal a Region Properly
Scouting towers populate the map, but reaching the roof is not enough. Climb at night with vampire traversal, reach the observation point, and interact with the distant white scouting targets one by one. When completed correctly, nearby activities appear as white question marks.
If the map is still empty
Do not leave after merely reaching the roof. Look around from the scouting position and investigate every white point. If nearby question marks did not appear, the tower was not fully surveyed.
Question marks identify the presence of an activity, not always its type. Approach to resolve them. Towers reveal a useful activity layer, while quests, conversations and direct exploration still expose locations the overview cannot explain for you.
All 11 Scouting Towers
| Tower | Area or landmark |
|---|---|
| Church Tower | Laslea Glen church |
| Briar Sloughs Tower | South of Laslea Glen, near the river |
| Maragir Wealds Tower | Eastern Maragir Wealds |
| Boar's Back Tower | Shrike's Crag, west of Svartrau |
| Neustadt Tower | Svartrau's southwest wall |
| Market Tower | North-central Svartrau |
| Cathedral Tower | Svartrau cathedral district |
| St. Tyna's Grove Tower | St. Tyna's Grove |
| Tantari Tower | Northwest Tantari Woods |
| Rockfalls Tower | South of Oghasti, west of Lunar Manor |
| Silts Tower | The Silts; also associated with Aurelius Tower |
All 11 are tied to the Bird's-Eye View achievement. City towers are a natural three-stop group: Neustadt, Market and Cathedral can be cleared during the same Svartrau night. The eight outer towers have rooftop loot noted in launch guides, so search before dropping back to the road. Our collectibles guide records the verified tower rewards.
Fast Travel and the Best Movement Skills
There is no horse. Shrines are the long-distance fast-travel network, so activate them as you find them rather than assuming tower synchronization is enough. For movement between Shrines:
- At night: unlock Shapeshift and sprint as a wolf; use Shadowstep and Planeshift for towers and vertical shortcuts.
- By day: Mercurial Fervour is the equivalent overland speed tool.
- In Svartrau: rooftops often provide the cleanest night route, especially when street access is inconvenient.
Fast travel and free exploration do not consume time segments. Waiting for the right form can consume opportunity, though, so pair daytime errands with Ancient Circles and human-only rituals, then use the following night for towers and elevated routes. The day versus night guide explains which form opens which options.
A Practical Early Route
This route prioritizes map information and minimizes backtracking; it is not a required progression order:
- Church Tower in Laslea Glen, then the nearby Shrine network.
- Briar Sloughs Tower while still close to the opening region.
- Move east through Maragir Wealds and scout its tower.
- Clear Boar's Back, then enter Svartrau and group Neustadt, Market and Cathedral in one night.
- Continue south through St. Tyna's Grove.
- Sweep Tantari Woods and Rockfalls.
- Finish with The Silts when your route reaches the southeast.
Because tower climbing itself does not spend task segments, you can attempt several in one night. Do not force a perfect all-towers run if your stamina or vampire traversal upgrades are weak; splitting the route across normal quest travel is faster than repeatedly failing a climb.
Svartrau Navigation
Svartrau is the only true city and has three towers, multiple districts, specialized merchants and routes that change with Coen's form. Treat it as a hub, not one region to “complete” in a single visit.
A useful first city night is:
- Activate the closest Shrine before going vertical.
- Scout Neustadt, Market and Cathedral towers.
- Use the newly revealed question marks to group nearby errands.
- Mark merchant and trainer locations you will need later.
High Infamy can eventually close Svartrau's gates. That does not erase the city — night traversal provides alternatives — but ordinary shopping and quest routing are easier before the final Edict. See Infamy and Edicts before deliberately pushing the Court too far.
What the Map Does Not Tell You
A revealed icon is not completion. Some of the most important routing decisions remain outside the tower layer:
- Ancient Circles are daytime activities and reward manuals.
- Scouting towers require nighttime vampire traversal.
- Court activities may overlap with side quests, letting one trip pay twice.
- Some interiors and NPC routes differ by day and night.
- Entering a question mark does not mean you should immediately spend its quest segments.
The launch map is now established at 10 regions and 11 towers. Exact official square-kilometre dimensions and a developer-published exhaustive marker count remain unconfirmed; this guide does not substitute a community estimate for either.
