Dawnwalker Court Activities: Locations and Anger Guide

Updated 7 min read

This guide draws on official information from Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco for The Blood of Dawnwalker (released September 3, 2026). Sections marked as unconfirmed reflect details that are not yet officially verified.

Court Activities are the single biggest place players get stuck in The Blood of Dawnwalker, and the reason is simple: the game does not mark them on your map. It tells you to anger a vampire lieutenant, then leaves you to work out where and how. This guide explains what Court Activities actually are, the 75% anger threshold that triggers each boss quest, the recommended order for the three lieutenants, and the search methodology that gets you unstuck without wasting days on the 30-day clock.

What Court Activities Are

Vale Sangora is governed by three vampire lieutenants who answer to Brencis: Ambrus, Bakir, and Xanthe. Each rules a region of the valley, collects the blood tax from the human population, and commands the blood guards who enforce it. Court Activities are the interference you commit inside a lieutenant's territory — the acts that disrupt their operations and make them personally furious at Coen.

Anger is the currency. You are not grinding a generic reputation bar; each lieutenant tracks their own anger toward you, driven only by what you do in their region. Provoke one enough and they stop ignoring you, which is exactly what you want, because that provocation is the door to their boss encounter.

Why You Cannot Find Them (The Real Problem)

Here is the honest version of the complaint: the game doesn't tell you where to go. There is no quest marker chain, no checklist screen listing "Court Activity 1 of 8," and no map pin dropped when you accept the objective. You are handed a region and a motive.

That design is deliberate — this is a narrative sandbox with no separation between main and side content — but it collides badly with modern expectations. Players sweep a region, find nothing labelled "Court Activity," assume they are locked out by a level gate or a missing quest, and stall.

There is no level gate

Nothing blocks you from a lieutenant's territory. If you cannot find Court Activities, it is a discovery problem, not a progression lock. Explore the region on foot and at night rather than waiting for the game to hand you a marker.

The exact name and precise location of every individual Court Activity: TBC — not officially confirmed yet. We will not invent activity names or coordinates here. What we can give you is the method that reliably surfaces them.

How to actually find Court Activities

  • Sweep the lieutenant's region, not the whole valley. Anger is regional. Time spent in the wrong territory does nothing for the lieutenant you are targeting.
  • Target blood guard positions. Blood guards are the enforcement arm of the blood tax. Where they are stationed, there is something worth disrupting.
  • Walk into villages and follow local events. Village-scale trouble — tax collections, abductions, punishments — is where the regime's grip is visible and interruptible.
  • Explore at night in vampire form. Shadowstep, Clawride, and Planeshift cross terrain that human-form Coen simply cannot, which means whole pockets of a region only open up after dark.
  • Watch the in-game anger and progress indicators. When a disruptive act registers, the lieutenant's anger reacts. That feedback is your confirmation that a given act counted as a Court Activity — use it to calibrate what to look for next.

The 75% Anger Threshold

You do not need to complete every Court Activity in a region. Reaching roughly 75% of a lieutenant's Court Activities is enough to trigger their boss quest — The Gilded Gauntlet, The Lunar Game, or The Cycle of Love respectively.

That threshold matters for two reasons. First, it saves real in-game time: chasing the last quarter of a region's content buys you nothing toward the confrontation. Second, it explains a confusing experience some players report — the boss quest arriving while unexplored parts of the region remain. That is working as intended, not a bug.

Once you cross the line, take the fight. Boss preparation advice lives in our Ambrus boss guide, Bakir boss guide, and Xanthe boss guide.

The best route through the three lieutenants is Ambrus → Bakir → Xanthe. Xanthe is the oldest vampire in Vale Sangora, so leaving her last means you arrive at the cathedral with more skills, more allies, and a better read on how lieutenant fights escalate.

Confirmed regions in the valley include Laslea Glen, Briar Sloughs, Tantari Woods, and the city of Svartrau, where Xanthe's cathedral stands. The exact mapping of each region to each lieutenant, and the specific Court Activity sites inside them, is TBC — not officially confirmed yet.

Work one lieutenant at a time. Splitting attention across three regions spreads three anger meters thinly and produces the worst possible outcome: days burned, no boss unlocked.

Infamy, Edicts, and the Endgame Trigger

Court Activities feed a second system. Infamy runs across nine levels, and as you climb it the regime responds with edicts — escalating decrees that change how the valley treats you. Disrupting a lieutenant's operations raises your profile, so anger and infamy tend to rise together.

Once all three lieutenants have been angered and defeated, your notoriety maxes out and the regime changes tactics: you receive a parley message. That opens the final quest, A Deal with the Devil, and the confrontation with Brencis in Greifberg Castle. In other words, Court Activities are not optional flavour — they are the mechanical path to the endgame. What happens once you get there is covered in our endings guide.

Collectibles to Sweep on the Same Trip

Because Court Activity hunting is regional exploration, run your collectible sweep at the same time. The confirmed totals:

Towers are the priority. Climbing them reveals map coverage, which turns a blind sweep into a directed one and makes every later hunt cheaper. Do them before you start hunting Court Activities in earnest, not after.

Time Cost and the 30-Day Clock

You have 30 in-game days. The main storyline can be finished in roughly 7 to 10 in-game days, which leaves meaningful room for Court Activities and exploration — but not unlimited room.

Two things keep the pressure manageable. Exploring, looting, and fighting do not advance the clock; only specific time-costing actions do, and those are flagged before you commit. And if the 30 days do run out, the world remains playable afterward — the deadline is less punishing than early trailers implied.

Watch for hourglass quests

Some quests are individually timed and show an hourglass icon. If one is active, finish it before starting a long regional Court Activity sweep, or you may lose it while wandering.

Court Activities FAQ

Do I need every Court Activity for 100%? For the boss quests, no — about 75% per lieutenant is enough. Whether full completion is separately required for trophies is TBC — not officially confirmed yet.

Can I anger all three lieutenants at once? Yes, but it is inefficient. Focus one region until the threshold trips.

Can I skip Court Activities and rush Brencis? You can attempt the castle early — there are no level gates — but the parley path to A Deal with the Devil runs through angering all three lieutenants.

Are Court Activities repeatable? TBC — not officially confirmed yet.
